Update: Harris Stays In
Katherine Harris isn't getting out of FL SEN, despite days of rumor and pressure to the contrary.
The wire should flash with this news and her remarks shortly.

What on earth is Harris thinking? My goodness, she's trailing by 20 points, has higher negatives than the incumbent, is having trouble fund-raising, is tainted by scandal, lacks institutional support - the list goes on and on. It's like watching the political equivilent of someone dousing themselves with gasoline and set themselves on fire. For a Republican (which I am), it's like watching someone set themselves on fire while sitting in your car.

Could there be a worse candidate than Katherine Harris? As a republican I am embarassed by her. She is a complete dolt and will do severe damage to republican dominance in Florida, something Jeb Bush and others have worked hard to build.

What a chowderhead. She's opting to continue this hopeless race in the knowledge that the MZM scandal involving Mitchell Wade will gather steam in the coming months. She drowns in that, forget a 15-20 point loss predicted in current polling. Looking more like a Bob Graham or Connie Mack (94) margin for Nelson. That is, if she doesn't drop out at a later date. Ha.

God I hope not! re Harris's campaign. I think she would be the easiest to beat and would mobilize Democrats not only in Florida but all across the country because of her role in stealing the 2000 election Go Kate!!!!
