Is Lynn Swann Embracing The Democratic Message?

The title of his latest press release:

SWANN CALLS FOR NEW DIRECTION

Unveils New Campaign Book Outlining His Vision for Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA—Today, Republican gubernatorial candidate Lynn Swann unveiled his new book, A New Direction: My Plan for a Better Pennsylvania, outlining his vision for change, reform, and leadership in the Commonwealth.

During a town hall meeting in Philadelphia, Swann explained that the book is the “next step” in his dialogue with voters across Pennsylvania.

“The message in A New Direction is simple: I stand ready to usher in a new era of accountability, reform and opportunity,” said Swann.

“From the outset of my campaign, I said that my candidacy would be centered on meeting the needs of Pennsylvanians from every part of our state and from every side of the political aisle,” Swann continued. “That’s why I’ve spent almost every single day engaged in a real dialogue with voters, listening to the views of thousands of Pennsylvanians who I have met along the campaign trail.”

“This book is the next step in that process,” said Swann. “While I don’t expect this book will address every possible issue in our state, I hope it will provide voters with greater insight into my vision for Pennsylvania and the direction that I will take our state as Governor.

After visiting Philadelphia, Swann’s bus tour aboard “Reform One” will travel to Harrisburg at 1:00 PM today. This evening, Swann will discuss the book with campaign supporters during Swann/Matthews house parties taking place in all 67 counties across the state.

Copies of the book can be obtained online at www.swannforgovernor.com.

Last i heard Lynn Swann needed to catch up in his campaign finances. I know he's charging for the book, but seriously this is a WASTE of money. Its the last ditch attempt of a deserate campaign.

On page 100 Lynn Swann lists what he would do for healthcare reform and the first thing is tax free HSAs. On page 101, Lynn Swann said he supports employer tax credits for employers who make HSA deposits into their employees' HSAs.

Lynn Swann supports portable health insurance so employees can quit, get fired and retire and keep their health insurance.

Rendell supports dangerous employer-based health insurance like the Democtratic Leadership Council (DLC). Rendell is selling his own employees at "Rendell for Governor" employer-based health insurance. If Rendell's employees get cancer can they keep their employer-based insurance after the election? The answer is NO. So, if Rendell can't take care of his own employees, should he be in charge of all of the state's citizens' health insurance? The answer is NO, again.

Vote Swann / Liberals have no ideas.

Be a bold and respectful governor and allow Pennsylvania constituents the ability to purchase milk, bread, gasoline, utilities, and other necessities with a ten dollar ($10) an hour minimum wage.

Oprah's show proved that even that wage is poverty today. Exxon's annual profit is $40 billion and the cashier makes $6.00 an hour with no benefits.
