Breaking: Frist Won't Run

Sources close to outgoing Maj. Leader Bill Frist tell the Hotline that Frist has decided not to run for President.

He will make a formal announcement this afternoon, the sources said.

Frist made the decision in recent days after consulting family, friends and advisers.

Of course, he will not run. What kind of a fool will do that knowing that the war in IRAQ is a mess. He does not want to be in the same boat as the present president.

Frist was never able to get higher than 5% in any national poll and he failed to connect to people in Iowa as well. Nice guy, but not a winner.

This takes out another GOP hopeful for 2008, now I can only hope Hagel and Tancredo are next. They are nice guys, but not strong Republican leaders, and use their voice right now to undermine our sitting president. That is no way to win strong GOP votes, by undercutting our own president.
