Praying to God

Romney got the Mormon question. He quotes JFK -- “not a Catholic running for president but an American.” He also makes it political but slams it back on the press. Romney: “I also believe there are some pundits out there who hope I’m going to distance myself from my church in order to help myself politically and that’s not going to happen.”

Romney should have taken this opportunity to address this mormon issue. Why did he let this opportunity go? He also let the chance to attack McCain on immigration go.

Romney was just not in this debate. His worst debate performance so far.

Will a good mormon blame it on press?

Majority of evangelicals will not vote for a moromon since they consider mormonism as a satanic cult. In addition to being a mormon Mitt has this flip-flopper tag which will never go away. In addition to McCain, Brownback even press is referring to him as a flipflopper.

Mitt did well in first debate but he bombed in today's debate.

It may have been Romney's weakest performance yet, but considering how well he still did, that's quite impressive. A couple of things to bare in mind however: 1) For many this is their first time seeing Romney still... his stronger first showing aside, he still did well; and 2) Frank Luntz made some very interesting observations of their market research of viewers during this debate, showing very strong results for Romney (see the clip on Romney's YouTube page).
