Quote Of The Day

From today's Hotline:

"The United States government, then President Clinton, did not respond."

-- Rudy Giuliani, on "the first attack on America," in '93, AP, 6/26

The fear-mongerer-in-chief Giuliani is either dumb or moron. Just last September Giuliani had defended Clinton when some blamed Clinton and George W. Bush for missed opportunities to prevent the 9/11. Giuliani had said, "The idea of trying to cast blame on President Clinton is just wrong for many, many reasons, not the least of which is I don't think he deserves it."

Which one is true Rudy? He is a LIAR for sure.. he either lied today or last time.

Giuliani needs to answer the following questions before pointing fingers at others:

- Why is Giuliani still employing his childhood friend and a priest, Monsignor Alan Placa, who is accused of Child Molestation in his law firm? Giuliani employs Placa as a consultant at Giuliani Partners despite a Suffolk County, NY, grand jury report that accuses Placa of sexually abusing children, as well as helping cover up the sexual abuse of children by other priests. Why is Rudy protecting a credibly accused child molester?

- Why did Rudy make a criminal like Bernie Kerik, once his personal driver, his police chief? Why did he recommend him for the post of Chief of Homeland Security?

- Why you failed to show up at ALL the meetings of Iraq Study Group?

- Why earning $100K for a speech is more important than attending meetings of Iraq study Group?

- Why you were kicked out of Iraq Study Group by your own republican colleagues like James Baker?

- Why is Rudy paying his wife $125,000?

- Why Rudy likes to dress up in women's clothes or in drag?

Speak up Rudy. This phony has only one phony answer and that is 9/11.

Yeah, Rudy did such a bangup job responding under his watch he put the emergency command post for the whole city in the same spot the 93 attack happened. What a great way to draw a red circle around one the primary criticisms of your claim to greatness.

Amazing. One day says it started when Carter was president. Another day he says it began when Reagan pulled out of Lebanon, now he says it was because Clinton ignored the first WTC bombing.

Remember it was Clinton's people who were ridiculed by the GOP for actually attacking bin Laden's bases (wag the dog, wag the dog). I didn't see Rudy vigorously backing Clinton during from those partisan attacks and calling for more action against Al Qaeda then... did you?

Oh Rudy. Always the jokester.

Good lord, you dems are dim. He wasn't blaming Clinton, just stating a fact that Bill was president at the time of the first WTC bombing and that the lack of a strong military and foreign policy response emboldened the terrorists to bring about 9/11. He even said later that he doesn't blame anyone for not getting it then, just for not getting it NOW. Taking one sentence out of context is just a way to simplify the liberal message for the idiots who posted above. The first commenter is even using the Daily Kooks talking points. Pathetic.

"Wag the dog! Wag the dog! He's just trying to distract the country from our all-important attempt to impeach him for a private sexual act! People MUST not let him distract us from this noble political stunt, which is of the utmost importance to the country's survival!"

-- Republican gasbag chorus, c. 1998, after Clinton bombed al Qaeda terrorist targets in Sudan and Afghanistan in retaliation for the Aug. 7, 1998 embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania.

"Clinton shouldn't have sat on his butt when America had already been attacked the first time. We would have stood with him 100% had he done so. Unlike these opportunistic liberals who can't see the divine wisdom in Bush's getting us bogged down in Iraq based on just a few patriotic fibs."

-- Republican gasbag chorus, c. 2007.
