The Meet the Press Primary

With the second quarter coming to a close 6/30, Joe Biden gathered his high-dollar donors at the Phoenix Park Hotel last night and gave them this assessment: fundraising isn’t everything. During the meeting --- part status report, part pep talk— Biden said he’s expecting to raise between $2-3M. Probably not the big gains they were hoping for, he realizes, but rest assured: the proof is in a different sort of pudding. It’s in the press.

The message here is one of classic Biden assurance: what he lacks in money, he makes up for in money shots. “The press wants me in this thing,” he said confidently. Biden instructed the group of $10K-and-over-donors to take a look at the papers and the recent slew of great coverage he’s getting. And as if announcing endorsements, he proudly noted the winning reviews he’s been receiving from David Yepsen, Adam Nagorney, David Broder, Mark Shields, and Eleanor Clift [NORA McALVANAH].

Biden should be in it, he's one of the most intelligent people in world affairs. Who do you want in a room facing world leaders, telling them to help us and forget about the Bush presidency? Biden, or an inexperienced Senator from Illinois? Biden, or Hillary? Okay, that one's closer.

Joe Biden, to the PM of India: "You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking."

Joe to the President of Zimbabwe: "I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do, I suspect. I went to law school on a full academic scholarship, the only one in my, in my class to have a full academic scholarship. In the first year in the law, I decided I didn't want to be in law school and ended up in the bottom two-thirds of my class."

Biden is by far the right person for POTUS.

This is not a time for on the job training.
Senator Biden understands foreign relations.
As it gets closer to picking a candidate, people are going to be looking for someone who can lead the country while the rest of the world is in such turmoil. It's not Obama. And Hillary is too divisive.

Don't dismiss Biden.

Biden is in love with himself. The press wants him in this thing? Talk about full of himself.

Senator Biden has paid his dues believe me. I was on the staff of Senator Mansfield when Senator Biden was first elected and his entire family was killed in a tragic auto accident. Understandably over come with grief he contacted Senator Mansfield and announced that he would not attend the swearing in ceramony nor would he take his seat. Senator Mansfield, in a typical act of compassion, told him that he was going to be installed and dispatched a federal judge to administer the oath of office at Joe Bidens' residence. His distinguished career has made that decision a very wise one indeed, and the next step is to see him as President of the United States.
What a pleasure it would be to have the intellect that is capable of authoring books without benefit of ghost writers presiding in an office now occupied by a person incapable of reading a book without help!

Agree that Biden is full of himself and loves to hear himself speak. His history of plagarisms will be brought up again and that will be tough to defend. He would make a very weak candidate and has absolutely no realistic chance for nomination even though he is likeable personality.
