Thomson is calling Cuban immigrants "terrorist". Thomson is as clueless and ignorant as they come.

Thomson was a do-nothing one full term senate back bencher and thats all. He is mainly a lifelong domestic and foreign lobbyist who has earned millions doing it. His other achievemnet is his trophy wife who is half his age and who is even four younger than Fred's own daughter!

Thompson has no military service despite having been of prime fighting age during the Vietnam War. The only thing that makes Thompson a "tough guy" is that he pretends to be one; he play-acts as one. There is nothing real about it in the same way that George Bush's ranch and fighter pilot costumes. Thompson is a chickenhawk since he has no military service despite having been of prime fighting age during the Vietnam War
(Thompson turned 20 in 1962).
