More Embarrassments from Arkansas

Scrutiny of Mike Huckabee's time in Arkansas continues today with the report that during his years in the governor's mansion, Huckabee denounced the embargo against Cuba. Now five years later and running for president, Huckabee praised that same embargo as "an important tool.”

Huckabee acknowledged his shifting views yesterday, saying the change is due to the “simple reality that I’m running for president.” As governor of Arkansas, Huckabee was carrying around 100 extra pounds, and apparently, over 1,000 pardons. Translation: had he known he was going to run for president, he probably would have done a few things differently.

Exhibit A: This annual Christmas card sent while Huckabee was governor. Hopefully, Huckabee now favors an embargo on coordinated, pinstriped shirts with reinforced suede elbow patches. No one would criticize him for that flip-flop (NORA McALVANAH).

Why do so many people like this guy anyway? He's liberal on illegal immigration (despite his recent endorsment), liberal on foreign policy, and liberal on fiscal conservatism. People need to wake up and start paying attention to the issues.

Yikes
How much did it cost Arkansas taxpayers to feed the Huckabee clan?

Um, "liberal on fiscal conservatism"?

The photo is wonderful. It proves to me that The Huckabee clan are just like the rest of us. Everyone in my family is a couple of hundred pounds over the limit..so what! Huck is going to be guided by Christ only and will not allow the constitution to get in the way of his judgement. If Jesus were alive he would watch Chuck Norris movies and vote for good old Huck.

i don't appreciate the stupid mocking of his or his kids' appearance. It has nothing to do with anything and just makes you look stupid.

Judge the guy by his policies and his beliefs and his record.

We already have Maureen Dowd, we don't need your dumb ass.

Roberto,

Que dumb ass? His kids are ugly, he's a complete moron, and so are you. His policies and his beliefs and his records do stand. A complete moron, and if you don't see that, you are with him. What a sick, sick country we live in, that this guy could even get into presidential politics. Could be worse than Bush, and that's a very difficlt thing to do. Ed
