Third Clinton Volunteer Knew Of Smear E-Mail

A third volunteer for Hillary Clinton's campaign was aware of a propaganda e-mail alleging that Barack Obama is a Muslim who plans on "destroying the U.S. from the inside out."

"Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy," the email reads. "Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the U.S. from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level."

Two Clinton volunteers, Linda Olson and Judy Rose, have already been asked to resign from the campaign for their roles in forwarding the e-mail. The AP reported yesterday that Olson, a volunteer coordinator in Iowa County, sent a version of the e-mail to 11 people, including Ben Young, a regional field director for Chris Dodd's campaign. Young passed it on to the AP.

Rose, a Jones County coordinator, was forced out last week after the campaign learned that she'd forwarded a similar e-mail.

But On Call has obtained a copy of the email, which shows that a third Clinton volunteer staffer, Iowa County Coordinator Linda Yoder, was also on the e-mail chain.

Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee said Yoder, who is also on the Women's Leadership Council for Hillary, did not notify the campaign about the e-mail, but she did not forward it to anyone. Olson sent Yoder the e-mail on Oct. 5. The campaign did not learn of it until this weekend, Elleithee said.

"We’ve made it clear to all paid staff and volunteer leaders that the senator and the campaign have a zero tolerance policy for this type of activity," Elleithee said.

Elleithee said Yoder has not been asked to step down from her unpaid post.

Subject: Fwd: FW: Who is Barack Obama?

Who is Barack Obama?

1- Probable U. S. Presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama

2- Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Father: Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black
Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya

Mother: Ann Dunham, a white atheist from Wichita, Kansas. Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was Two years old, his parents
divorced.

Father: Returned to Kenya. Mother: Married Lolo Soetoro, a radical Muslim
from Indonesia.

3- When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia.

4- Obama attended a Muslim school in Jakarta. He also spent two years In a
Catholic school.

5- Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He Is
quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also Attended
Catholic school."

6- Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that
Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this in
fluence was, Temporary. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya
Soon after The divorce, and never again had any direct influence over His
son's education.

7- Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham,
Introduced his stepson to Islam.

8- Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the

9.-Obama was a cocaine user at one time......Is he still?

Since it is politically expedient to be a Christian when seeking Major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background .

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy.

Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level.

This is beyond Rovism and Swiftboating. This is so sick. I wonder if the disgusting filth who posted this are "Christians." If so, I wouldn't want to be them on their death bed. What they have done is a very, very serious sin. What God does about it is, of course, up to Him. But, wow, I'd be afraid, very afraid.

One campaign staff person sending this trash is a mistake. The involvement of three begins to look more like a strategy. By the way, in addition to calling this a smear, you may want to mention that it is completely false, that he is a Christian and a member of the United Church of Christ.

Let me get this straight. You are saying that someone received the email and didn't forward it to anyone, but that's some sort of problem? That email and others have been going around for many months. If I received it and did not forward it, is that a problem for you? Your reasoning is pathetic.

This issue is being greatly distorted by people who do not know the facts on how this happened and apparently wish to comment without discovering the facts. Linda Olson did receive the e-mail and did forward the e-mail without reading it. Ms Olson serves as secretary for the Iowa County Democratic Central Committee. In that capacity she receives numerous e-mails. She had inquired about forwarding e-mails at a meeting and was told to do so because if she did not it might appear she was using her position to help a candidate or be unfair to someone else. Because of the volume of e-mails she receives she often forwarded them without reading them She now realizes that this was not a wise decision. Ms Olson deeply regrets what has happened and has publicly apologized as well as having resigned from any involvement in the Clinton campaign. Othes who received Ms Olson's e-mail included the county chairman who is supporting another candidate, a Dodd staffer, several Jonn Edwards supporters, a person that I believe is supporting Senator Obama and several Clinton supporters. Linda Yoder received the E-mail and when she saw the contents immediatly deleted the e-mail. Mrs. Yoder is an individual of high integrety and for someone to try and label her in such a negative manner is wrong. If every person who has received an e-mail that was disgusting as this e-mai could be accused of somehow being involved in a negative campaign we would all be in trouble. I also received the same e-mail from another source and after reading it, I was totally disgusted and deleted the message. I have received negative e-mails about Senator Clinton and other candidates as well. I delete them all without forwarding them. I want to be clear that I am A Clinton supporter buy I will be supporting whomever the democrats nominate from a great group of candidates. Individuals who are unjustly maligned, whether they are a candidate or a volunteer, is very unfortunate. It is also the reason good people no longer want to get involved in the political process. Respectfully Ric Gerard, Iowa County Supervisor

"A Disclosure A Day Makes the Candidate Sink Away". This is getting ridiculous. Send up another sacrificial lamb. At this rate, Clinton will run out of campaign staffers by Christmas.

Remember Sergeant Shultz "I know nothing". Malarkey, all Clinton, all the time. If it ain't sleaze, it ain't us.

If you are I received such an e-mail and did not forward it to anyone, that would not be a problem, but then again, we are not prominent members of Hillary Clinton's campaign staff as Ms. Yoder is. As a key member of Clinton's campaign team, Ms. Yoder (unlike you or I) had an obligation to bring such a dirty smear tactic to the attention of others in the campaign (assuming that you actually believe that others, including Clinton herself didn't originate or at least know about the strategy).

The Clinton campaign team already reminds me so much of the Bush Administration (not to mention all of the baggage in Hillary's own closet) with her penchant for making scapegoats of others on her staff when the Clinton Campaign gets caught with their hand in the cookie jar time after time. One has to wonder if it is a matter of sheer numbers of lost staffers, Ms. Yoders politically sensitive position in the campaign, or some other reason that spares her the fate suffered by other Clinton staffers!

Well KUDOS to Hillary! I am a repulican. I have been watching the race with a hawks eye. Until the showdown between Hillary and Obama, I was not sure of whom I would cast the vote too.Rep. or Dem. I wanted to see our future presidents guts, brains and honestly, Hillary really packs a wallop! She, by her actions, not to mention her mouth, proved to me she can run with the big dogs!!!!!!Hillary is smart and tough and it is time for a female president. Since I was a child in the 60's I have waited for this to come about.Good luck to YOU HILLARY> You won my vote.

jc | 02.25.08 02:38 PM

Obama's church is a black only church. How come we do not hear anything about that. So we have a muslim, prejudice candidate for the presidency?
If you do not believe me check out the church he attends....If the candidate went to a white only church it would hit the newspapers and the ACLU would be all over it! Fair is fair.If you are running for president you can not be biased in any way.

I for one can't trust richardson or obama. Richardson can't even dressed up, what a failure, baby? Look at him in that unfitted jacket endorsing obama. He is a joke, man! Obama a muslim, Absolutely! no question about that, because if your parents are, of course you are. Unless your parents are stupid, they are not going to teach you Christian values when they are not. Get the point, Babey! It's Jihad to follow. This is just my honest opinion.

If you can't find it please email me back with a fax or email address and i will send it to you.
