A Show Of Hands

Who forgot that Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul were participating in tonight's debate?

What a waste of time. Just as the last dem. debate was nothing but a brawl between Clinton and Obama, Anderson Cooper and the questioners spent at least 5/6 of the time focused on McCain and Romney. The questions they asked of the two have been hashed and rehashed over and over and over again. It appeared to be a deliberate effort to disallow Huckabee and Paul to any debate or comment time. Yes, there were promises of "I'll give you plenty of time in just a few minutes.", but the time given to Huckabee and Paul was insulting to them, and insulting to the viewers. These two men, regardless of how many delegates they've won or their placements in primaries/caucuses, deserved equal time. By silencing them, they will never be able to earn more support, because they were given so little time to express their views ... and both Huckabee and Paul have valid issues that need to be heard, rebuttals that deserve attention. I am very disappointed with CNN, Anderson Cooper, and questioners handling of the disproportionate time given to each candidate. This is not a 2 man race. If I counted correctly there were 4 on that platform. Lastly, McCain's reply to his economic leadership was a nonanswer. Leadership in the service does not prepare one to handle money, especially on such a grand scale. My dad was in WWII, and I hold high respect for all of our servicemen, past, present, and future. But the US Army did not teach him economics. Being a captain and the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts showed his ability to lead, direct, and plan strategies on war. When he entered the business world as a self-employed pharmacist, the Univ. of Texas, taught him book knowledge, and personal experience in business taught him the rest. McCain's response was a cop-out and proved he could not truthfully respond to his lack of real economic experience.
Shame on CNN for not giving equal time for all candidates!!
