Rudy vs. Ron Paul

So Paul has now beaten Giuliani in IA, MI, NV, and SC. Giuliani beat Paul (by less than 1%) in NH. A show of hands: who predicted that six months ago? [QUINN McCORD].

Who predicted this outcome? Certainly not the Hotline blog, which I notice doesn't even include Paul in the latest GOP presidential rankings.

Six months ago all of the mainstream pundits -- including the ones here at this blog -- were crowing about how Giuliiani had slapped down crazy old Ron Paul in the May South Carolina debate where Paul suggested U.S. foreign policy maybe -- just maybe -- had something to do with why radical Islamic terrorists wanted to kill us. All of the "serious" pundits just knew that was a win for Giuliani, showing how tough and presidential he was.

Now that all of the mainstream pundits have been proven so, so wrong, will they be any more humble in their future predictions -- and less dismissive of those of who dared to point out that maybe there was an audience for Ron Paul's message?

Nah, I didn't think so.

Oh, God, now you've gone and done it. The Pauloon/PaulBots are going to come out of the woodwork.

Yes, Paul did a great thing - beating a guy who choose not to compete in ANY of those four state's contests.

Big deal.
