NBC/WSJ Poll: Hillary's Negatives Highest Of Contest
An NBC/WSJ survey out tonight shows it's Hillary Clinton, not Barack Obama, who has taken a hit in the wake of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright revelations.
At 37 percent, Clinton's approval rating is the lowest it's been since NBC/WSJ polled in March 2001, two months after she was sworn into the Senate. Obama's, by comparison, is 49 percent.
The poll asked several questions about Obama's speech and Wright. It was taken Monday and Tuesday and oversampled for African Americans.
NBC's Chuck Todd writes: "Of those voters who said they saw the speech, 47 percent said Obama sufficiently addressed the Wright issue while 37 percent said he needs to address it further. Among whites, 45 percent were satisfied with Obama's explanation, 38 percent were not. Among blacks, 67 percent said the speech was sufficient, while 25 percent want him to address it further."
Another interesting tidbit from Todd: "When asked if the three presidential candidates could be successful in uniting the country if they were elected president, 60 percent of all voters believed Obama could be successful at doing this, 58 percent of all voters said McCain could unite the country while only 46 percent of voters said the same about Clinton."
The head-to-head primary match-up shows Obama and Clinton tied at 45 percent. Obama leads John McCain by 2 percentage points, while McCain edges Clinton by 2 percentage points. Both results are within the 3.7 percent margin of error.

Large numbers of Republicans have been voting for Barack Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, and caucuses from early on. Because they feel he would be a weaker opponent against John McCain. And because they feel that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket would be unbeatable. And also because with a Clinton and Obama ticket you are almost 100% certain to get quality, affordable universal health care very soon.
But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. “Carpe diem” (harvest the day).
I think Hillary Clinton see’s a beautiful world of plenty for all. She is a woman, and a mother. And it’s time America. Do this for your-self, and your children’s future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.
Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama’s. She also leads in the electoral college numbers that you must win to become President in the November national election. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!
As much as 30% of Obama's primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.
Hillary Clinton has been out manned, out gunned, and out spent 2 and 3 to 1. Yet Obama has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.
If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON’T BE DUPED! Think about it. You have the most to lose.
The democratic party needs to fix this outrage. I suggest a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket. Everyone needs to throw all your support to Hillary Clinton NOW! So you can end this outrage against YOU the voter, and against democracy.
I think Barack Obama has a once in a life time chance to make the ultimate historic gesture for unity, and change in America by accepting Hillary Clinton’s offer as running mate. Such an act now would for ever seal Barack Obama’s place at the top of the list of Americas all time great leaders, and unifiers for all of history.
The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.
Fortunately the Clinton’s have been able to hold on against this fraudulent outrage with those repeated dramatic comebacks of Hillary Clinton’s. Only the Clinton’s are that resourceful, and strong. Hillary Clinton is your NOMINEE. They are the best I have ever seen.

It's over 7 months before the general election. These polls mean nothing for the general election. Just wait until Obama debates McCain, which have huge potential for Obama. Wait also for the Democrats to get united behind a candidate. When Hillary/Obama start encouraging her/his supporters to vote for the nominee, the polls will definitely improve for the Democrats.
Also, these democrats who say they would rather vote for McCain thatn Hillary/Obama have not really considered McCain yet. They don't know what his policy positions are or how closely he is now aligned with the despised neo-conservative branch of the Republican party.
Any number of volatile factors could also cause wild swings in the polls. Precipitous stock market drops, changes in the cost of gas (up or down), flareups in Iraq (like what is happening now in Basra).
In sum, it is a waste of time to continue speculating about fall matchups until the Democratic primary is complete and the Democrats have coalesced and brought to bear the full weight of enthusiastic new voters and angry old voters (angry with Bush, that is).

McGovern to re-introduce the Gender Fight, so now we have a racial and gender fight to instigate more division while trying to Divert attention from her Big Gaf, the Bosnia Tale of Sniper Fire, which we all know now is a complete Fabrication told THREE times, which is a betrayal of the public trust and goes right to the Heart of character. And, if it was not for Rush Limbaugh, and Bill sitting with Rush during the Texas Primarys, Barack would have won Texas but for the 100,000 Republican votes casted for Hillary which put her slightly over the top. I say no more "do and say anything" politicians to win. The Republicans who vote for Barack, genuinely like him unlike the Republicans who vote for Hillary, as a way to "bloody" Barack up, as stated by Rush Limbaugh! Barack Obama has a very shady past. His minister, his mentor has only proved to illustrate that past. Obama says nay...but should we believe him?
He has spent 20 years listening to his mentor, his minister and now that his Presidental election is threatened he throws this 20 year mentor away? The very same guy that married him and baptisted his children? Why is this negative to illustrate?

The deep support and belief in Hillary Clinton and all the strengths and wisdom she brings with her are certainly overlooked in the press mess. Not a change, really, from other contests (Gore for instance) in which the media basically chose our President. Barack Obama may be ready for such a position at some point in the future, but for now he still needs to find his center, in my opinion. I don't necessarily blame him for all the deeply negative press releases sent out by the campaign and repeated by the press, but I imagine he approves it all. Regarding November, no one really wants a Republican economic-international-healthcare-judicial appointments disaster, and we will come together in November. We are still too aware of what has happened in the 2000 and 2004 elections and their consequences to let that happen again.
