Sniping About Snipers, Tuesday Edition

Here's Hillary Clinton just now in a televised presser talking about her recollection of landing in Bosnia in 1996 under sniper fire:

"I made a mistake in describing it. I’ve said many times I’ve talked about this many times. We were very much told by the Secret Service and the military that we were going into a war zone. ... I did make a mistake in talking about it the last time and recently. But this is really about what policy experience we have and who is ready to be commander in chief."

More: "I had a different memory, and my staff and others have all come together trying to sort out. I made a mistake. It proves I'm human, which for some people is a revelation."

Made a mistake in describing it? Misspoke? Sleep deprived.

She had a detailed account of what kind of plane she was in, and how it maneuvered to land, and whether or not she was greeted, and that she was told to duck and cover because her life was at risk from snipers.

That's not misspeaking. It's at best an extensive embellishment, at worst it's a complete fabrication.

Its as if she's confused her real life as first lady with Saving Private Ryan.

And as much as it may not be her strong suit, integrity is certainly a consideration for becoming president.

Sen. Clinton says this incident "proves [she's] human." But I think it just reinforces the idea that she is a robot programmed to do anything to win the presidency.
