Obama: Clinton Did Him "A Favor"
Here’s some of what Barack Obama told Jon Stewart during a taping of "The Daily Show" today, per McClatchy's Margaret Talev:
“It is a mad dash but the people of Pennsylvania have been terrific.”
“We think there’s going to be high turnout tomorrow.” He said after starting 20 points down “the polls are not showing us about 6 to 8” points behind.
*Obama said Clinton’s tough campaigning did him “a favor” . . . . “She has put me through the paces,” he said. If he wins the nomination, he said, everything’s “going to be old news” by the general election.

Why don't these candidates start appearing on real news programs instead of these comedy/news shows? Perhaps they don't want to actually admit what they have in store for the country. This is an embarressing state of affairs.

Maybe because the so called real news shows opt to focus on the inane Wright-flag pin crap rather than, I don't know, real news. Stewart's show may have a comedy base, but he often has more intellectual discussions that can be found on the Situation Room or O'Reilly or whatever.

Dear,
I'm a korean living in seoul.(name: Oh Minseok)
Korean special investigative team investigated samsung
corporation.
But they did not work right.
Suspicious to be bought off.
Samsung corporation has many crimes.
And the team investigates samsung corporation.
It contains korean companies samsung, huyndai,sk CEOs' illegal issuing
stocks or bonds.
The quantity are plenty.
(Three company CEOs did(and are doing) many crimes to me.
Many koreans are knowing it.
But many koreans are bought off by illegal issuing stocks or bonds.)
The team are knowing it.
Korean special investigative team must investigate this.
But they are trying to conceal it.
I ask for asking for this criminal investigation to prosecutors in any
country.
And help the shareholders and me.
P.S)
Three companies are hacking me and trying to kill me.
And are suspicious to use my name and email illegally.
If you receive another message that I dictated above are not true,
it is not from me, but from three companies.
The things I dictated above are true.

Second what Andy said.
TDS completely wins out over the pablum that passes for televised media in this country for actually providing a snap of today's news. As I recall, TDS and Colbert were practically the only shows that provided any actual discussion of the FACTS discussed in the '04 (Vice) Presidential debates. TDS was in fact the first program to debunk Cheney's nonsense that he "had never met [Senator Edwards] before" at a Senate function, when the other so-called news shows took a few days to bring it out, or skipped it entirely. That's a trivial example, but it's representative of numerous other failures in responsible reporting that it took Jon Stewart and Colbert to remedy.
Honestly, one easily could argue that TDS and Colbert are the *only* televised media programs that are relevant. I'll take 'em over The Situation Room any day.

doesn't anyone remember how shocked those Crossfire guys were when Jon Stewart came on their show and told them they were hurting America? remember how desperate they were to get him to crack some jokes instead of calling them out on their pathetic abdication of their responsibility to the country?
Obama/Stewart 08!!!!

Michael Moore endorses Obama
Fresh off the wires today, filmmaker Michael Moore is endorsing Barack Obama for president:
I want to say a word about the basic decency I have seen in Mr. Obama. Mrs. Clinton continues to throw the Rev. Wright up in his face as part of her mission to keep stoking the fears of White America. Every time she does this I shout at the TV, "Say it, Obama! Say that when she and her husband were having marital difficulties regarding Monica Lewinsky, who did she and Bill bring to the White House for 'spiritual counseling?' THE REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT!"
But no, Obama won't throw that at her. It wouldn't be right. It wouldn't be decent. She's been through enough hurt. And so he remains silent and takes the mud she throws in his face.
That's why the crowds who come to see him are so large. That's why he'll take us down a more decent path. That's why I would vote for him if Michigan were allowed to have an election.

I don't care what anyone says -- in the primaries, this will help him, if anything.

I wish the press would just leave him alone.....just let him eat his waffles.....please pass the butter.

It is totally pathetic that anyone would get their news from a comedy show. Absolutely pathetic. Read the newspapers, all sorts of newspapers, as well as serious news journals on all sides. Only then can you even begin to make educated choices about politics and elections.
